About Théoda Woeffray
Théoda Woeffray is a Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of European Politics at the University of Bern (held by Prof. Dr. Fabio Wasserfallen). She is particularly interested in asylum and migration policy and politics in Europe, with a focus on the preferences of different actors within the Schengen and Dublin framework. The results of her research have been published in the Journal of European Public Policy.
Théoda previously dealt with various aspects of migration and asylum during her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at the University of Geneva and for her Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Zurich. During her Master’s studies, she also spent one semester at the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University (DK). She spent the spring semester 2023 at the European University Institute in Florence.
In addition to her Master’s studies, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Zurich in the ERC Consolidator Grand Project “DISINTEGRATION” (by Prof. Dr. Stefanie Walter) and the SNSF Ambizione Grant Project “Politics of Extreme Party Entrance” (by Prof. Dr. Daniel Bischof). She gained practical experience in the fields of migration and campaign work at the Swiss Mission to the European Union, foraus – Forum Aussenpolitik and Schutzfaktor M (Verein Dialog EMRK).
