A team of Prof. Dr. Marc Bühlmann based at the Institute has been compiling a chronicle of Swiss politics since 1965. The political observers analyse the most important political events in Switzerland and document them in short syntheses. The scientifically based summaries are made available to researchers and the interested public on a freely accessible internet platform. The chronicle allows current political events to be placed in a larger contemporary historical, socio-political and thematic context.
In addition to the Chronicle, Année Politique Suisse maintains a newspaper documentation that is unique in Switzerland and a series of databases on Swiss politics, which are used to advance numerous smaller and larger research projects.
